Our single-circuit hiking loop attracts nature-lovers and adventure-seekers likewise and offers everything the Park has to offer – from cascades, gorges, streams, and lush stands of hardwood timber to the actual Fall Creek Falls, at 256 feet one of the highest waterfalls in the eastern US

Distance: 20 miles in 8 hours
There is no timekeeping, there are no failures, we only recognize the incredible courage it takes to rise to our challenge. Every participant completing the distance will be awarded their finisher medal and considered a winner!

Starting time: You can choose from several time slots as early as 6:45 am with limited capacity when signing up. This ensures the most remote hiking experience as a maximum of 5 hikers will cross the starting line at the same time. The first ones will head out between 6:45 – 7:00 a.m. with the majority coming back in just about 8 hours. However, we will have our finish line open for the ones that need a bit more time.

Lodging/accommodation: We have secured discounted rooms at the beautiful Fall Creek Falls Lodge, right inside the Park! Book your room right here. Make sure to adjust the dates in the top left corner. One- or two-night stays are available between Friday and Sunday, May 3-5.

Parking: Complimentary parking will be available right on site.

Aid/refreshment stations: There are water stops and aid stations along the route (approximately positioned every 5-7 miles apart) providing toilets, food and drinks for all participants. These refreshments are included in the cost of your ticket and vary between each station, offering water, energy drinks, electrolytes, fruits, cereal/protein bars, sandwiches and more.

Certificates: All finishers receive their personalized certificate after crossing the finish line. For the ones who drop out, we issue certificates stating the mileage covered.

Finisher medal/wall of fame: For all participants finishing MammothMarch.

Merchandise: Our merchandise collection is available right here. Make sure to pre-order your favorite items for a hassle-free pick up on the day of the event. We will also sell merchandise on site (while stocks last).

Route: The single-circuit loop covers 20 miles of everything Fall Creek Falls State Park has to offer, including the scenic waterfall views! The final route will be made available around 2 weeks prior to the event. Take a look at our 2023 hiking route right here.
Total elevation gain: Around 1,500 ft.

Terrain: A great mix of everything: Paved, mainly unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads, forest floor.
