WeatherMammothMarch remains on schedule, rain or shine. While it’s nearly impossible to predict the weather more than 24 hours ahead of time, we are in constant exchange with the Park and all entities involved. There is - always - a chance of inclement weather during our events, simply because it's a full-day outdoor activity.

We have several options in case of inclement weather (e.g. postponing the start if we experience severe weather in the morning hours or cutting short later on) with the last resort being an event cancellation. Please monitor your email inbox and our social media in particular for any short-term adjustments/changes.

Saturday, August 12 | Letchworth State Park

MammothMarch is back in Upstate New York!

We are thrilled to have secured Letchworth State Park, renowned as the “Grand Canyon of the East”, for our second NY edition. Hike 20 miles in 8 hours and conquer one of the most scenic areas in the Eastern US.

Our single-circuit, 20-mile hiking route leads along the Genesee River, through lush forests, and includes spectacular waterfall views.

Several times voted as “Best Park in the United States”, Letchworth is located just an hour east of Buffalo/south of Rochester and is one of the most scenically magnificent MammothMarches in our 2023 calendar.

Mastering our challenge, you will be exhausted, but proud and happy... as well as part of our amazing community of nature-lovers, hikers and MammothMarch addicts!

Parking: Complimentary parking will be available on site; all other Park fees are already included in your ticket as well.

Aid/refreshment stations: There are up to three aid stations along the route (approximately positioned every 5-7 miles apart) providing toilets, food and drinks for all participants. These refreshments are included in the cost of your ticket. The refreshments will vary between refreshment stations, providing water, coffee, tea isotonic drinks, fruits, cereal bars, nuts.

Certificates: All finishers will receive their personalized certificate after crossing the finish line. For the ones who drop out, we will issue certificates stating the mileage covered.

Finisher medal/wall of fame: For all participants finishing MammothMarch.

Merchandise: Our 2023 merchandise collection can be viewed right here: https://raceroster.com/store/66392/listing. Pre-orders are available until around three weeks before the event, but we will also have merchandise on site (while stocks last).

Total elevation gain: Around 2,300 ft.

Please check out more details in our FAQ section or contact us contact@mammothmarch.com.

The route will be made available approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. Please note that the route is preliminary and may be adjusted due to weather issues, official directives and/or organizational matters. The route will be marked 1-2 days prior to event day. Should we notice parts of the route being inaccessible, extremely wet/muddy we will adapt it to local conditions at short notice.
