Date: Saturday, April 29, 2023

Distance: 20 miles in 8 hours

There is no timekeeping, there are no failures, we only recognize the incredible courage it takes to rise to our challenge. Every participant completing the distance will be awarded with their finisher medal and considered a winner!

Starting time: Several starting slots available from 7:15 a.m. (*NEW* earlier start to ensure a “cooler” start and finish already in the afternoon hours). You can choose from specific time slots with limited capacity when signing up. This ensures the most remote hiking experience as a maximum of 5 people will cross the starting line at the same time. The first hikers will start as early as 7 a.m. with the majority coming back in just about 8 hours. However, we will have our finish line open for the ones that need a bit more time.

Venue (start/finish): Fort Christmas Historical Park, 1300 N Fort Christmas Rd, Christmas, FL 32709

Parking: Complimentary parking will be available at Fort Christmas Historical Park

Aid/refreshment stations: There are aid stations along the route (approximately positioned every 5-7 miles apart) providing toilets, food and drinks for all participants. These refreshments are included in the cost of your ticket. The refreshments will vary between refreshment stations, providing water, coffee, tea isotonic drinks, fruits, cereal bars, nuts. (*NEW* An additional water stop will be included.)

Certificates: All finishers will receive their personalized certificate after crossing the finish line. For the ones who drop out, we will issue certificates stating the mileage covered.

Finisher medal/wall of fame: For all participants finishing MammothMarch.

Merchandise: Our 2023 merchandise collection can be viewed right here: https://raceroster.com/store/62846/listing. Pre-orders are available until around three weeks before the event, but we will also have merchandise on site (while stocks last).

Camping and Accommodation: For camping/RV reservations, we recommend reaching out to Christmas RV park 25525 E Colonial Dr, Christmas, FL 32709/ P: (407) 568-5207. We don't have a partner hotel for our Central Florida event.

Route: The single-circuit loop covers 20 miles along remote trails inside Charles H. Bronson State Forest, along Florida Scenic Trail. Take a look at our 2022 route right here. Please note that this only provides a rough overview, and our 2023 route will be revealed shortly before the event.

Total elevation gain: Around 100 ft. (it's Florida 😉)

Terrain: Unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, forest floor, gravel/dirt roads, around 2 mi. back and forth along paved roads.

Please check out more details in our FAQ section or send us an e-mail at contact@mammothmarch.com.

The route will be made available for download, including GPS coordinates, 2 weeks prior to the event. Please note that the route is preliminary and may be adjusted due to weather issues, official directives and/or organizational matters. The route will be marked 1-2 days prior to event day. Should we notice parts of the route being inaccessible, extremely wet/muddy we will of course adapt it to local conditions at short notice.
